This serif typeface shows pronounced contrast between thick verticals and finer connecting strokes, with sculpted, wedge-like serifs that flare out from the stems rather than sitting as flat slabs. Curves are generously rounded and smoothly drawn, while joins and terminals feel chiseled and slightly calligraphic, giving the outlines a lively, engraved rhythm. Uppercase forms are stately and relatively wide, with a strong baseline presence; lowercase maintains a moderate x-height with clear, open counters and compact ascenders/descenders. Numerals follow the same high-contrast, serifed construction and read comfortably at display sizes.

It is well suited to headlines, subheads, pull quotes, and cover typography where contrast and serif detailing can be appreciated. The controlled, classic forms also make it a strong option for branding in cultural, academic, or luxury-adjacent contexts, and for formal printed materials such as programs or invitations.

The overall tone is traditional and composed, evoking book typography and institutional printing. Its sharp contrasts and flared stroke endings add a touch of drama and refinement, creating a confident, editorial voice rather than a purely neutral one.

The design appears intended to blend a traditional, bookish serif structure with more expressive, flared stroke endings, creating a refined display serif that feels both classical and slightly sculptural.

The face holds together best when given room: tight spacing or very small sizes may emphasize the thin hairlines and sharp terminals, while larger sizes bring out the elegant modulation and the distinctive flared serif shaping.
