This serif shows a distinctly calligraphic, oldstyle-inspired construction with pronounced stroke contrast and gently bracketed, flared serifs. Curves are full and slightly teardrop-like at terminals, while joins and arches retain a soft, written rhythm rather than rigid geometry. Uppercase forms feel stately and compact in their internal spaces, and the lowercase carries a lively texture with angled entry/exit strokes and modestly varied character widths. Numerals follow the same humanist logic, with sculpted curves and clear thick–thin transitions.

It suits book interiors, magazine articles, and other longform editorial settings where a traditional serif voice is desired. The strong contrast and refined details also make it effective for headlines, pull quotes, and section openings in print-oriented layouts.

The overall tone is classical and bookish, leaning formal and editorial. Its crisp contrast and shaped terminals suggest tradition and authority, while the subtle handwritten influence keeps the voice warm and literary rather than purely mechanical.

The design appears intended as a conventional text serif with a classical, humanist sensibility—balancing readability with a refined, slightly calligraphic character. It aims to deliver an authoritative typographic color suitable for literary and editorial work while retaining distinctive, crafted details.

In text, the font produces a strong vertical rhythm and a slightly animated texture from the angled stress and tapered terminals. The counters are generous enough to stay open at display and subhead sizes, and the sharpness of serifs and thin strokes gives it a polished, print-forward finish.
