A slanted serif with a distinctly pen-informed build: strokes taper subtly, terminals flare and hook, and the serifs are small and bracketed rather than blocky. The overall rhythm is lively and slightly irregular in an intentional, hand-cut way, with rounded joins and gently modulated curves that keep the texture soft. Capitals are compact and slightly calligraphic, while the lowercase shows flowing entry/exit strokes and a noticeable rightward lean; bowls stay fairly open and the spacing produces an even, readable color in text.

Works well for book and long-form editorial typography where a classic, italic voice is needed for emphasis, quotes, and introductions. It also suits literary titles, pull quotes, and formal printed pieces that benefit from a traditional, crafted feel.

The face reads as traditional and human, with an old-world, bookish tone that suggests handwritten origins refined for print. Its energetic italic movement and shaped terminals add warmth and personality without tipping into novelty.

The design appears intended to translate broad-nib calligraphy into a legible serif italic with a warm, historical complexion. It prioritizes flowing movement and refined detailing to deliver a distinguished voice for text and display settings alike.

Numerals and punctuation follow the same calligraphic logic, with curved strokes and small finishing flicks that help them harmonize in running text. The italic angle is consistent across the alphabet, and the forms maintain a cohesive, slightly organic texture that feels suited to continuous reading.
