This typeface uses an angular, chiseled construction with crisp corners, straight-sided strokes, and pointed wedge terminals. Serifs are small, sharp, and often spur-like, creating a faceted silhouette rather than a flowing calligraphic one. The rhythm is tight and vertical, with compact internal counters and strong, geometric joins; diagonal strokes (as in V, W, Y) remain rigid and planar. Lowercase forms echo the same hard-edged logic, with simplified bowls and squared shoulders, giving the design a consistent, carved-sign look across cases and numerals.

Best used at display sizes where the pointed terminals and chiseled details can register clearly—such as posters, headlines, album or book covers, and branding marks. It can also work for themed packaging or labels where a historic or fantasy-leaning voice is desired, but it is less suited to long passages at small sizes due to its dense texture and tight counters.

The overall tone reads as gothic and heraldic, evoking old-world signage, medieval titling, and dramatic display typography. Its sharp terminals and condensed verticality add a stern, ceremonial character that feels authoritative and slightly ominous, well suited to stylized historical or fantasy contexts.

The design appears intended to translate blackletter-era or engraved lettering cues into a sturdy, geometric serif display, prioritizing striking silhouettes and a consistent carved aesthetic over neutrality. Its deliberate angularity and spurred terminals suggest an emphasis on atmosphere and identity-driven typography.

In running text the strong verticals and compact apertures create a dark, patterned texture, while distinctive letterforms (notably the angular S and the boxy E/F structures) push it firmly into decorative territory. Numerals follow the same faceted geometry, matching the caps in presence and edge sharpness.
