A slanted serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and wedge-like, bracketed serifs. Strokes show irregular, inked edges that create a distressed, letterpress-like texture, with slightly uneven contours and lively terminals. Proportions feel traditional and moderately condensed, with a compact x-height and strongly modeled curves; round letters are sturdy and dark, while joins and diagonals carry a chiseled, hand-inked rhythm. Numerals follow the same textured, high-contrast construction and read clearly at display sizes.

Well-suited to display typography for posters, book and album covers, and editorial headlines where a historic, tactile feel is desirable. It can also work for branding and packaging that want a crafted, printed character, especially when paired with a cleaner text face for longer reading.

The overall tone is antique and tactile, evoking printed ephemera, bookish headlines, and old-world craftsmanship. Its roughness adds grit and personality, while the formal serif skeleton keeps it grounded and authoritative.

The design appears intended to blend a classic serif/italic structure with an intentionally worn, ink-pressed surface, producing a font that feels both traditional and expressive. The goal seems to be strong display impact with a handmade, archival texture rather than pristine neutrality.

At smaller sizes the distressed edges can visually fill in counters and soften fine details, so it tends to look best when given enough size and spacing to let the texture breathe. The italic slant and sharp modeling lend strong emphasis and motion in headlines and short passages.
