A classic serif with clearly bracketed serifs and pronounced thick–thin modulation throughout stems, bowls, and diagonals. The letterforms show traditional proportions with a relatively short x-height, sturdy verticals, and tapered joins that keep counters open in text. Round letters (like O and C) are smooth and evenly tensioned, while diagonals (V, W, X) are sharply cut and contrasty. Numerals align comfortably with the text color, featuring oldstyle-like curves and distinct terminals that read well at display and text sizes.

Well suited to long-form reading such as books, essays, and editorial layouts where a traditional serif texture is desired. It also works effectively for headlines, pull quotes, and refined branding that benefits from a classic, authoritative typographic voice.

The overall tone is traditional and literary, projecting an established, book-centered voice. Its high-contrast strokes and refined serifs give it a formal, editorial presence suited to serious or classical subject matter rather than casual or playful messaging.

Designed to deliver a conventional, readable serif texture with a polished, high-contrast finish. The intent appears to balance strong typographic tradition—bracketed serifs, classic proportions, and familiar letter shapes—with enough crispness to hold up in both text and display settings.

Text samples show a steady rhythm and consistent serif behavior that maintains a firm baseline and clear word shapes. The italic is not shown; the upright roman carries most of the character through contrast, bracketed serifs, and conventional construction. At larger sizes the finishing details—tapered terminals and crisp serif brackets—become a defining feature.
