A robust, high-contrast serif with broad proportions and a strong vertical stress. Serifs are clearly bracketed and slightly cupped, giving joins a carved, engraved quality, while terminals often finish with ball-like or beaked forms. Curves are generous and slightly condensed at the joins, creating an ink-trap-like bite in counters and apertures, especially in letters such as a, e, and s. Overall rhythm is steady and upright, with sturdy stems, compact counters, and punctuation that reads heavy and decisive at display sizes.

Well suited to attention-grabbing headlines, mastheads, and poster typography where weight and contrast can do the work. It also fits book covers and editorial branding that want a classic serif voice with extra punch, and can serve as a strong secondary display face alongside calmer text typography.

The tone is bold and traditional, with an assertive, headline-ready presence that feels editorial and authoritative. Its sculpted serifs and pronounced contrast evoke classic print typography, lending a formal, institutional character rather than a casual or playful one.

The design appears intended as a conventional serif reinterpreted for impact: familiar letterforms and proportions amplified through heavier strokes, sharper contrast, and sculpted terminals to deliver immediate authority in display settings.

The sample text shows strong word shape and clear differentiation in caps, with a prominent, slightly swashed tail on Q and confident, wide numerals. At tighter settings the dense interior spaces can deepen quickly, so it tends to look best when given a bit of air through size, tracking, or leading.
