This typeface is a high-contrast serif with narrow proportions and a crisp, vertical rhythm. Stems are predominantly straight and firm, while joins and stroke endings transition into subtly flared, bracketed serif forms that keep the texture lively without becoming ornamental. Curves are clean and controlled, with a pronounced thick–thin modulation and relatively sharp internal counters. The lowercase maintains a conventional, readable structure with a two-storey a and g, compact apertures, and a slightly tight overall fit that produces a dense, efficient text color.

It is well suited to editorial design, book typography, and literary branding where a compact measure and a classic serif voice are beneficial. The contrast and narrow build also make it effective for headlines, subheads, pull quotes, and titling that need a refined, traditional tone while conserving horizontal space.

The overall tone is traditional and cultivated, projecting a composed, literary feel. Its sharp contrast and tailored narrowness suggest authority and precision, lending a slightly aristocratic, old-style elegance rather than a casual or utilitarian voice.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic, text-forward serif with a slightly sharpened, modernized edge—balancing crisp contrast and narrow economy with gentle flaring at terminals for distinctive presence. It aims for a dignified reading texture that scales comfortably from longer passages to display settings.

In the sample text, the narrow set and strong contrast create a dark, punctuated texture at larger sizes, while the restrained flare at terminals adds character without disrupting alignment. Numerals follow the same contrast logic and feel suited to running text and headings where a classic serif presence is desired.
