A robust serif with pronounced thick–thin contrast and firmly bracketed serifs. Curves are generously rounded with a slightly calligraphic stress, while verticals stay steady and upright. Serifs tend toward beaked and wedge-like terminals on many capitals, giving the outlines a crisp, sculpted edge. Proportions are on the wide side with ample counters, and the lowercase shows clear differentiation between stems, bowls, and tapered joins for a strong text rhythm.

Well-suited for editorial typography where a strong serif presence is desired, including magazine features, headlines, pull quotes, and section openers. It can also work for book typography and packaging that benefits from a traditional, confident tone, especially at medium to larger sizes where the contrast and serif detail remain clear.

The overall tone is classic and authoritative, with a distinctly editorial voice. Its weight and contrast read as confident and formal, suggesting established institutions—publishing, academia, or heritage branding—rather than casual or playful contexts.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, bookish serif voice with extra visual authority: strong contrast, substantial strokes, and crisp serifs that hold up in display and editorial applications while maintaining a familiar text-serif structure.

The numerals appear oldstyle in spirit, with noticeable variation in widths and rounded forms that harmonize with the lowercase. Capitals have a sturdy, engraved quality, while the lowercase keeps a comfortable, readable cadence in paragraph settings.
