A conventional serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and bracketed, slightly flared serifs. The letterforms show a gently calligraphic construction: curved strokes transition smoothly into serifs, and round characters exhibit diagonal stress. Capitals are sturdy and classical, while the lowercase has rounded bowls, moderate ascender height, and distinctive details such as a single-storey g and a generous, open e. Numerals follow the same high-contrast model with oldstyle-like shaping cues and crisp terminals, producing a steady, bookish texture in paragraphs.

Well suited to long-form reading environments such as books, magazines, and editorial layouts where a traditional serif texture is desired. It can also support more formal communication—reports, academic materials, and institutional branding—especially when paired with generous leading and comfortable measure lengths.

The overall tone is traditional and cultivated, evoking printed literature and editorial typography. Its contrast and serif shaping communicate seriousness and credibility, with a slightly warm, humanist undercurrent rather than a rigid, mechanical feel.

The design appears intended as a dependable text serif that references classic print models: high-contrast strokes, bracketed serifs, and a calm, familiar rhythm aimed at comfortable reading and a formal editorial voice.

In text, the rhythm reads as compact and confident, with clear differentiation between similar forms (notably i/l and the round letters). The design leans on classic proportions and familiar silhouettes, making it feel immediately legible while still offering character through its terminals and stress.
