A serifed display face with intentionally irregular, distressed outlines and a hand-inked texture. Strokes show subtle tapering and occasional swelling, with asymmetric serifs and slightly wobbly curves that create a lively rhythm. Letterforms lean toward oldstyle proportions with open counters and modest ascenders/descenders, while spacing feels slightly uneven in a way that reinforces the handmade, worn-print impression. Numerals follow the same roughened treatment, with curved, calligraphic terminals and varied stroke endings.

Best suited to display settings such as book covers, title cards, posters, game and film titling, and thematic packaging where a weathered historical feel is desired. It can work for short pull quotes or headings in editorial layouts, especially when paired with a cleaner companion for body copy.

The overall tone is antique and storybook-like, with a haunted, weathered character that reads as historical and theatrical rather than clean or modern. The rough edges and imperfect consistency evoke aged paper, letterpress wear, or hand-drawn signage, giving text a mysterious, folkloric mood.

The design appears intended to mimic worn, hand-printed or hand-lettered serif forms—capturing the charm of imperfect ink and aged reproduction while keeping letterforms recognizable. Its primary goal is atmosphere: adding period flavor and dramatic texture to headlines and thematic branding.

At larger sizes the texture becomes a defining feature, with jagged nicks and softened corners adding character to both straight stems and rounded bowls. In longer passages the irregularity remains controlled enough to stay readable, but it consistently signals “display” rather than neutral text.
