A heavy serif with broad, dense shapes and subtly flared terminals that expand into compact wedge-like serifs. Strokes are largely even in weight, with minimal contrast and rounded interior joins that keep counters open despite the mass. The design favors sturdy proportions: wide bowls, short-to-moderate extenders, and tight aperture openings on letters like C, S, and e. Serifs are bracketed and somewhat tapered rather than slabby, giving the face a carved, engraved feel while maintaining a modern, blocky rhythm. Numerals are bold and stable, with round forms (0, 8, 9) reading especially dark and uniform.

Best suited to headlines, logotypes, packaging, and bold editorial decks where strong typographic color is an asset. It can also work for short bursts of text—subheads, pull quotes, and labels—when ample size and spacing are available.

The overall tone is authoritative and traditional, with a strong editorial presence. Its weight and flared finishing give it a confident, slightly vintage flavor that suggests heritage signage and headline typography rather than delicate book work.

The design appears intended to deliver maximum impact with a classic serif voice, using flared, bracketed finishing to keep the forms lively and rooted in traditional lettershape cues while staying solid and highly legible at display scale.

At display sizes the letterforms read cleanly and emphatically, but the heavy color and tight apertures can build texture quickly in longer settings. The lowercase shows a sturdy, no-nonsense construction with a single-storey a and g, supporting a straightforward, workmanlike personality.
