A serif text face with crisp, bracketed serifs and noticeably textured outlines, giving each stroke a slightly rough, printed edge. The forms show calligraphic modulation with strong thick–thin contrast and tapered terminals, while proportions lean traditional with a relatively short x-height and sturdy verticals. Spacing and rhythm feel lively rather than mechanical, with subtle irregularities in curves and joins that read like ink spread or letterpress wear. Uppercase shapes are dignified and slightly narrow in their internal counters, and the figures are compact with rounded, oldstyle-flavored silhouettes.

Well suited to editorial design, book covers, and chapter headings where a historical or literary voice is helpful. It also works effectively for posters, labels, and packaging that benefit from a crafted, vintage print impression, especially at medium to larger sizes where the texture becomes a feature.

The overall tone is antique and bookish, with a handmade, timeworn character that suggests printed ephemera and historical text settings. Its textured edges add warmth and grit, making it feel human and tactile rather than pristine.

The design appears intended to blend classical serif structure with a deliberately distressed, inked finish, capturing the feel of traditional printing and calligraphic influence while remaining readable in continuous text.

The texture is consistent across capitals, lowercase, and numerals, which helps it hold together as a system even when set in longer passages. The contrast and roughened detail can become visually prominent at smaller sizes, but at display and text-heading sizes it reads as intentional craft.
