A graceful serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and softly bracketed serifs that read as slightly flared at their terminals. The letterforms show a gentle, calligraphic rhythm with diagonal stress, rounded bowls, and moderated proportions that keep counters open and readable. Uppercase forms feel stately and well-spaced, while the lowercase carries more movement through subtly tapered stems, lively joins, and a traditional double-storey “g”. Numerals align with the text color, mixing straight and curved structures with crisp entry/exit strokes.

Well-suited to long-form reading such as books and essays, and to editorial layouts where a traditional serif texture is desired. It can also serve for refined headlines, pull quotes, and cultured branding applications where warmth and credibility matter.

The overall tone is classic and bookish, with a cultivated, old-world elegance. Its contrast and tapered details add a refined, slightly formal voice, while the rounded construction and open counters keep it approachable rather than severe.

The design appears aimed at delivering a traditional, humanist reading experience with clear text color and classical proportions, combining high-contrast elegance with forgiving, open internal spaces for comfortable continuous reading.

In text, the face maintains an even texture with clear word shapes and a smooth baseline flow; the italics are not shown, but the roman already suggests a pen-informed influence through its stroke transitions. It appears best when given comfortable leading so the ascenders, descenders, and bracketed serifs can breathe.
