A very heavy serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and strong vertical stress. Stems are wide and dark, while joins and interior connections drop to fine hairline-like thinning, creating high-contrast sparkle inside counters. Serifs are sharp and relatively unbracketed, with a crisp, engraved feel; several letters show wedge-like terminals and deep cut-ins at transitions. Counters are compact and apertures tend to be tight, giving the face a dense, poster-ready texture with an energetic rhythm in mixed case and figures.

Best suited to display typography where its heavy color and sharp contrast can be appreciated—headlines, mastheads, posters, and book or album covers. It can also work for short pull quotes or section openers in editorial layouts, especially when set with generous tracking and leading.

The font projects a bold, authoritative tone with an old-style, print-era character. Its dramatic contrast and crisp, cut terminals read as formal and editorial, with a slightly theatrical, headline-driven presence.

The design appears intended to deliver maximum impact while retaining a refined, classic serif structure. By pairing very heavy stems with sharply thinned connections and crisp serifs, it aims for a dramatic, attention-grabbing voice that still feels rooted in traditional print typography.

In text settings the dense color and tight openings can reduce clarity at small sizes, while larger sizes reveal the intended contrast details and the crisp serif shaping. The figures are sturdy and strongly vertical, matching the emphatic weight and the overall engraved impression.
