This typeface is a right-leaning serif with sharply tapered strokes and a pronounced thick–thin rhythm. Serifs are narrow and pointed, often flowing out of the stems with a flared, calligraphic feel rather than blunt terminals. Curves are tight and controlled, with teardrop-like joins and angled stress that stays consistent across the alphabet. Uppercase forms are compact and energetic, while the lowercase shows a slightly more cursive construction, producing a lively texture in text. Numerals follow the same angular, tapered logic, with open counters and crisp entry/exit strokes.

Best suited for headlines, standfirsts, pull quotes, and cover typography where its energetic slant and sharp detailing can be appreciated. It also works well for editorial branding and packaging that wants a classic, literary voice with added intensity, rather than a quiet text-face presence.

The overall tone is assertive and refined, combining classical bookish familiarity with a punchy, display-forward slant. Its sharp terminals and strong contrast lend a sense of drama and urgency, while the serif detailing keeps it grounded in traditional editorial typography.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional serif voice with heightened momentum and contrast, using flared terminals and tapered serifs to evoke a calligraphic, engraved sensibility. It prioritizes expressive word shapes and striking texture for display and editorial settings.

In the sample text, the strong italic angle and crisp terminals create a pronounced forward motion, especially in word shapes with repeated verticals and diagonals. At larger sizes it reads clean and striking; at smaller sizes the fine hairlines and sharp points may become more delicate, so spacing and reproduction method will noticeably affect the result.
