A tall, tightly proportioned serif with an intentionally idiosyncratic, hand-tuned feel. Strokes show moderate thick–thin modulation, with narrow verticals and subtly swelling curves that create a slightly wavering rhythm. Serifs are small and pointed, often flaring into sharp, beak-like terminals, while joins and shoulders are irregular enough to read as decorative rather than purely classical. Round letters are narrow and upright, counters are compact, and the overall texture is dark but lively due to the varied stroke endings and uneven serif energy.

Best suited to display sizes where its unusual serif forms and animated stroke endings can be appreciated—headlines, book or chapter titles, posters, packaging, and distinctive branding. It can work for short editorial accents or pull quotes, but the condensed build and lively detailing will be most effective when given space and not pushed into very small text.

The tone is literary and characterful—more curious and theatrical than formal. Its spiky serifs and slightly offbeat proportions evoke old-world printing, gothic-story atmosphere, and whimsical headline typography, giving text a distinctive, personality-forward voice.

The design appears intended to fuse a classic serif skeleton with unconventional, sharpened terminals and a slightly handcrafted irregularity, prioritizing mood and individuality over strict typographic neutrality. It aims to deliver a memorable, vintage-leaning voice for dramatic or whimsical display typography.

In the sample text the narrow proportions and active terminals create strong vertical emphasis and a noticeable shimmer across lines. The uppercase feels more stately and dramatic, while the lowercase introduces more playful quirks (notably in descenders and curved joins), making mixed-case setting feel expressive and decorative.
