This serif shows strongly sculpted, bracketed serifs with a pronounced flare at joins and terminals, giving the outlines a carved, inked quality. Strokes exhibit a clear thick–thin relationship, with robust verticals and noticeably finer hairlines that stay crisp in the counters and along diagonal joins. Proportions feel generous and open: capitals are broad with steady spacing, while lowercase forms are sturdy with rounded bowls and a moderate, steady rhythm across text. Details like the ball terminals (notably in the lowercase) and the pointed, wedge-like finishing strokes reinforce a classic, display-ready construction.

It performs especially well in headlines, deck lines, and pull quotes where its contrast and sculpted serifs can read as intentional character. It also suits book covers and magazine typography, as well as branding for institutions or products aiming for a classic, established impression.

The tone is traditional and editorial, projecting authority and a slightly theatrical classicism. It feels confident and formal, with enough warmth in the rounded bowls and bracketed serifs to stay approachable rather than austere.

The design appears intended to deliver a familiar, conventional serif structure with elevated contrast and expressive finishing details for stronger presence in display sizes. It balances readable, traditional letterforms with more emphatic terminals and shaping to create an authoritative, editorial look.

Figures are assertive and high-contrast, with clear differentiation in shapes and weight distribution; the “2” and “3” show pronounced curves and strong terminals. The lowercase “g” is double-storey and the “a” is two-storey, supporting a conventional text-serif voice, while the heavier finishing strokes and ball details push it toward headline use.
