A heavy, high-contrast serif with strongly bracketed, wedge-like serifs and sharply tapered joins. Strokes alternate between thick verticals and finer hairlines, creating a pronounced black–white rhythm, while curves are full and slightly condensed in their inner counters. Terminals often finish in teardrop or ball-like forms (notably on lowercase a, f, and j), giving the design a sculpted, calligraphic flavor despite its upright stance. Capitals feel sturdy and monumental, while the lowercase shows more movement through asymmetrical bowls and lively ear and spur details.

Best suited for headlines, deck copy, and other prominent editorial settings where its strong contrast and substantial weight can shine. It also fits book covers, posters, and brand marks that benefit from a classic serif voice with extra visual drama. For long text, it will be most comfortable when set with generous spacing and sizes that preserve its fine hairlines.

The overall tone is classic and authoritative, with an editorial seriousness amplified by the dramatic contrast and dense color. Decorative terminal shaping adds a subtle vintage warmth, keeping it from feeling purely austere. It reads as confident and formal—suited to emphatic statements and traditional branding contexts.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional serif foundation with heightened contrast and sculpted terminals for impact. It prioritizes a bold, premium texture and a distinctly editorial presence, aiming to stand out while still reading as conventionally serif and familiar in structure.

The figures appear robust and display-friendly, with round forms (0, 8, 9) rendered as heavy ovals and a clear, upright 1. Across the alphabet, the design balances crisp serif edges with rounded finishing details, producing a distinctive texture at larger sizes and in short lines.
