A very heavy serif with sharply tapered, flaring stroke endings and strong modulation between thick stems and hairline-like joins. Serifs are wedgey and often bracketed, creating a carved, sculptural edge rather than a flat slab. Curves show pronounced teardrop-like joins and tight apertures, while counters remain compact, giving the face a dense, dark texture. The rhythm is lively and slightly irregular in silhouette, with angled terminals and pointed interior cuts that add bite to letters and figures.

Best suited to display typography where its contrast and flared, wedge-like detailing can be appreciated—headlines, posters, magazine mastheads, book covers, and bold brand marks. It can work for short bursts of text at larger sizes, but will be most comfortable when given generous size and spacing.

The overall tone is theatrical and authoritative, balancing classical serif cues with a more expressive, high-drama finish. It feels ceremonial and attention-grabbing, with a vintage editorial flavor that reads as confident and slightly eccentric rather than neutral.

The design appears intended to deliver maximum presence through a dark typographic color, dramatic contrast, and sculpted serif/terminal shapes. Its flared endings and pointed interior cuts suggest a goal of combining traditional serif structure with a more expressive, engraved or calligraphic energy for high-impact display use.

In text settings the heavy weight and tight counters create strong impact but also a busy texture, especially where pointed joins and narrow apertures cluster (e.g., in double-story forms and diagonals). Numerals and caps carry the same carved, flared logic, keeping display lines cohesive and emphatic.
