A compact serif with bracketed, wedge-like terminals and subtly uneven, inked contours that suggest pressure from a broad nib or letterpress printing. Strokes show moderate modulation, with slightly flared joins and softly rounded corners that keep the texture warm rather than mechanical. Proportions are traditional and text-oriented: capitals are sturdy and slightly condensed in feel, while the lowercase is compact with tight counters and ascending forms that read a bit taller relative to the x-height. Spacing and rhythm are lively, with small irregularities in curve tension and stroke edges that create a gently distressed, handmade color across lines of text.

Well suited to editorial typography, book interiors, and literary branding where a traditional serif with visible texture is desirable. It can also serve effectively for headlines, posters, and packaging that benefit from an antique or letterpress-like flavor, especially at medium to large sizes where the roughened contours can be appreciated.

The overall tone feels bookish and historical, evoking printed pages, fables, and archival documents. Its roughened edges and calligraphic inflection add a crafted, human presence that can read as rustic or antique without tipping into novelty.

The design appears intended to capture an old-style reading texture with a deliberately imperfect, ink-on-paper finish. It balances conventional serif structure with calligraphic stroke behavior to convey age, tactility, and warmth in continuous text.

The numeral set and punctuation match the same textured, print-like finish, helping long passages maintain a consistent typographic voice. The italic is not shown; the displayed forms lean on expressive serifs and tapered strokes to provide character while remaining readable.
