A decorative serif with sharp, chiseled contours and pronounced thick–thin modulation. Strokes flare into wedge-like terminals and small triangular serifs, while many joins show deliberate nicks, cut-ins, and irregular edges that create a carved, distressed rhythm. Bowls are compact and somewhat angular, counters are pinched, and several glyphs show offset cut-outs/inner breaks that read like a subtle shadowed notch rather than a smooth interior. Overall spacing feels slightly uneven by design, emphasizing a hand-cut, expressive silhouette.

Best suited for display settings such as posters, chapter titles, game or fantasy UI headings, album/film titling, and themed packaging where the carved, shadow-notched texture can be appreciated at larger sizes. It can work for short bursts of copy, but the distressed detailing and tight counters suggest avoiding long passages at small sizes.

The font conveys an occult, medieval-leaning mood—more spellbook and dungeon-signage than modern editorial. Its roughened edges and blade-like terminals add tension and drama, giving text an ominous, ritualistic energy while still retaining recognizable letterforms.

The design appears intended to mimic carved or inked blackletter-adjacent forms without fully adopting traditional blackletter structure, using cut-out shadowing and irregular edges to create a dramatic, handcrafted imprint. The goal seems to be high character and atmosphere over neutrality, while maintaining enough familiarity for readable headline typography.

In continuous text, the many interior breaks and sharp terminals generate a lively, flickering texture, with some letters (notably those with rounded bowls) showing stronger cut-out accents that can draw attention. Numerals echo the same incised, notched construction, keeping the set stylistically cohesive.
