This serif shows old-style construction with softly bracketed serifs, modest contrast, and gently modulated strokes that feel informed by broad-nib writing. Uppercase forms are steady and slightly wide-set, while the lowercase is compact with a notably short x-height and relatively tall ascenders, creating a traditional page color. Counters are open and round, terminals tend to be softly tapered, and the overall rhythm is even but with subtle irregularities that keep it organic. Numerals are lining and share the same serifed, slightly calligraphic treatment, with a friendly, slightly curved baseline feel in a few shapes.

Well-suited to books, long-form reading, and editorial layouts where a classic serif texture is desirable. It can also serve for heritage-leaning branding and packaging, especially when a warm, traditional tone is needed in headings and short passages.

The tone is classic and bookish, with a warm, human presence rather than a strict, mechanical one. It evokes printed literature and editorial typography, communicating credibility and a calm, traditional voice without feeling overly formal.

The design appears intended to provide a readable, print-rooted serif with calligraphic warmth and a classic reading rhythm. Its proportions and restrained detailing suggest a focus on comfortable continuous text while still offering enough character for literary and editorial display settings.

The sample text shows strong readability at larger text sizes, where the short x-height and pronounced ascenders add elegance and a distinctly traditional texture. The italic is not shown, and the roman’s serifs and stroke modulation carry most of the personality.
