A high-contrast serif with pronounced thick–thin transitions, crisp hairlines, and bracketed, tapering serifs. The capitals are stately and relatively wide, with smooth, rounded bowls (C, O, Q) and controlled modulation through curves and joins. Lowercase forms show a traditional text rhythm with sturdy vertical stems, compact apertures, and a two-storey a and g; the g’s ear and the a’s terminal feel gently calligraphic. Numerals are lining and proportional in feel, with strong contrast and clear, classical silhouettes.

Well suited to book and long-form editorial settings where a traditional serif voice is desired, and it also scales convincingly into headlines and pull quotes thanks to its strong contrast and crisp detailing. It can complement formal collateral such as invitations, programs, and institutional communications where an established, classic tone is appropriate.

The overall tone is classic and cultivated, projecting editorial authority and a quietly luxurious, literary feel. Its contrast and sharp finishing details lend a sense of sophistication and ceremony, suitable for typography that aims to sound established rather than casual.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, readable serif with elevated contrast and polished, print-forward detailing—aiming for a timeless editorial presence that works for both continuous reading and refined display typography.

Spacing reads even and measured, supporting steady text color in the sample paragraph while keeping a distinctly crisp edge at display sizes. Curves remain smooth at high contrast, and the design balances sharp serifs with slightly softened brackets to avoid looking brittle.
