A refined serif with pronounced vertical stress and strong thick–thin modulation. Upright capitals are tall and stately, with hairline serifs and crisp, sharply finished terminals that stay mostly unbracketed. Curves are smooth and controlled (notably in O, C, and G), while diagonals keep a clean, disciplined geometry. Lowercase shows a relatively small x-height with compact counters and delicate joins, producing an elegant rhythm; numerals follow the same high-contrast logic with slender strokes and clear, open forms.

Best suited to editorial and display contexts where the contrast and fine serifs can be appreciated—magazine headlines, book covers, section openers, pull quotes, and premium brand identities. In longer passages it can create a classic, literary texture, particularly when set with generous size and comfortable leading to preserve clarity.

The overall tone is polished and formal, projecting an editorial, high-end feel associated with classic book typography and luxury branding. Its contrast and fine detailing read as cultured and composed rather than utilitarian, giving text a quiet sense of prestige and ceremony.

The design appears intended to deliver a modern-classic serif voice: high-contrast elegance, vertical emphasis, and crisp detailing that signals sophistication. It prioritizes refined rhythm and prestige over ruggedness or neutrality, aiming for authoritative, polished typography in print-like layouts.

At display sizes the hairlines and small details (serifs, joins, and punctuation) appear especially crisp, while in continuous text the narrow apertures and short x-height create a more traditional, old-style reading color. The design balances sharpness with smooth curvature, avoiding calligraphic flourish in favor of precise, print-oriented refinement.
