A high-contrast italic serif with sharply tapered hairlines set against heavy, swelling stems and strong vertical stress. Serifs are fine and crisp, with pointed, calligraphic terminals and little visible bracketing, creating a sleek, cut-paper edge in both caps and lowercase. The italic angle is assertive, and many forms show teardrop-like joins and wedge-shaped entry/exit strokes that emphasize a lively diagonal rhythm. Capitals feel broad and display-oriented, while the lowercase maintains a moderate x-height with compact counters that turn very dark at text sizes.

Best suited to large sizes where the hairlines and sharp terminals can be appreciated—editorial headlines, fashion and beauty branding, premium packaging, and poster-style typography. It can work for short pull quotes or display lines, but long passages at smaller sizes may feel very dark and busy due to the extreme contrast and tight internal spaces.

The overall tone is dramatic and upscale, evoking fashion mastheads and high-end editorial typography. Its sharp hairlines and glossy contrast read as refined and theatrical, with a distinctly classic, Old World elegance that still feels modern in its crispness. The energetic italic movement adds a sense of urgency and sophistication rather than softness.

The design appears intended as a statement italic for display typography, prioritizing elegance, contrast, and movement over quiet readability. It aims to deliver a luxurious, high-fashion voice with crisp details and a confident slant that commands attention.

In the sample text, the dense black mass from the thick strokes creates strong texture and word shapes, while the ultrafine hairlines can visually recede, especially where strokes cross or meet at tight joins. Numerals share the same contrast and italic energy, with curved figures showing pronounced thick–thin modulation and crisp finishing strokes.
