A very heavy, high‑contrast serif with strongly bracketed, wedge-like serifs and a lively, slightly calligraphic stress. Strokes swell dramatically into thick stems with sharply tapered joins and beak terminals, giving the shapes a sculpted, ink-trap-free solidity. Counters are relatively tight for the weight, while apertures and joins remain clear enough to keep letters distinct. The lowercase shows a traditional, text-serif construction with a two-storey “a,” a double-storey “g,” and a “t” that has a pronounced wedge head; several letters (notably r, a, f, and y) feature ball-like terminals. Numerals appear oldstyle (descending 3, 5, 7, 9), matching the classical rhythm of the lowercase.

Well suited to headlines, magazine and newspaper-style editorial settings, and book cover titling where a strong, traditional voice is desired. It can also serve for mastheads, pull quotes, and formal announcements where weight and contrast help establish hierarchy quickly.

The tone is classic and institutional, projecting confidence and gravitas. Its dense black color and refined serif detailing evoke established publishing and traditional typography rather than casual or minimalist design.

The design appears intended to translate a classical text-serif model into a commanding, high-impact weight while preserving traditional constructions and typographic manners. The goal seems to be a familiar, authoritative serif that delivers strong presence in display and editorial typography.

At display sizes the dramatic thick–thin rhythm and sharp wedges read as crisp and decorative; in longer passages the boldness produces a strong, almost poster-like page color. The design’s consistent serif vocabulary and traditional lowercase forms make it feel cohesive across text and numerals.
