A delicately drawn serif with a calligraphic skeleton and lively, slightly irregular detailing. Strokes move from thin hairlines to fuller stems with a pen-like modulation, and terminals frequently flare or curl into small teardrops and hooks. Serifs are fine and often bracketed, with a gently uneven, hand-inked edge that keeps the rhythm animated rather than mechanical. Capitals feel airy and elegant, while the lowercase is noticeably small relative to the capitals, reinforcing a classic, old-world texture in words. Numerals follow the same light, decorative logic with modest, tapered finishing strokes.

Well suited to book covers, chapter heads, pull quotes, and other editorial situations where a classic, crafted voice is desired. It also fits invitations, boutique branding, labels, and theatrical or folkloric posters where the ornamental terminals can add character. For dense body copy, it will generally benefit from comfortable sizes and spacing so the fine details don’t visually close up.

The overall tone is vintage and storybook-like, with an artisanal, slightly mischievous charm. Its curls, ink-trap-like nicks, and ornamental terminals evoke hand-set or hand-lettered printing, lending a literary, theatrical atmosphere rather than a strictly formal one.

The design appears intended to capture an old-style, pen-influenced serif with a deliberately human, slightly eccentric finish. It emphasizes charm and historical flavor through tapered serifs, curled terminals, and a textured rhythm that feels closer to printed ephemera than contemporary neutrality.

In running text the small x-height and active terminals create a textured color and a distinctive silhouette, especially on letters like g, j, y, and the swashy capitals. The design’s personality comes through most strongly at display sizes, where the fine hairlines and quirky details remain clear.
