This serif face presents a refined, high-contrast construction with thin hairlines and stronger vertical stems, producing a crisp, polished texture. Serifs are small and bracketed, with a restrained, traditional flare that keeps joins smooth rather than abrupt. Capitals are proportioned with generous internal space and clean, classical curves (notably in C, G, and O), while diagonals (V, W, X, Y) taper into fine terminals. The lowercase shows compact, well-controlled forms with a relatively modest x-height, a two-storey a, and a looped g that adds a distinctly bookish rhythm; overall spacing reads even and composed in continuous text.

Well suited to book interiors, long-form editorial layouts, and magazine typography where a refined serif texture is desired. It can also serve upscale invitations, programs, and cultural materials, and works effectively for headlines and pull quotes when set with enough size and leading to preserve its delicate details.

The tone is formal and cultivated, leaning toward a quiet luxury associated with publishing and editorial typography. Its sharp contrast and delicate detailing convey sophistication and care, while the conservative proportions keep it anchored in familiar, authoritative typographic traditions.

The design appears intended to deliver a classical reading experience with an elevated, contemporary finish—balancing traditional serif structure with sharply defined contrast for a premium, print-oriented voice.

Numerals follow the same contrast model, with a clearly distinct old-style feel in the curved figures and a notably elegant, sweeping 2 and 3. Stroke endings stay fine and precise, so the design favors clean printing and ample sizes where the hairlines and serifs can remain articulate.
