This serif typeface shows strong thick–thin modulation with sharp, tapered terminals and bracketed wedge-like serifs. Capitals are stately and slightly condensed in feeling, with pointed apexes (notably in A and W) and crisp, knife-like joins. Lowercase forms lean toward an oldstyle rhythm: rounded letters have angled stress, counters feel compact, and several characters (such as a, e, g, and y) carry subtly calligraphic shaping. Overall spacing and color read firm and dark, with clear vertical emphasis and a polished, print-oriented finish.

Well-suited to book and magazine typography, especially for headings, pull quotes, and display text where contrast and sharp serifs add character. It also fits premium branding, packaging, and formal invitations, delivering a classic, authoritative voice.

The tone is traditional and authoritative, with a refined, bookish presence. Its high-contrast drawing and sharp detailing lend a sense of luxury and ceremony, while the oldstyle movement in the lowercase keeps it literary rather than coldly mechanical.

The design appears intended as a conventional text serif with elevated contrast and a touch of oldstyle calligraphy, balancing readability with a more dramatic, refined surface. It aims to provide a traditional foundation for editorial work while offering enough sharpness and personality for display settings.

Numerals appear proportional and styled to match the text, with noticeable contrast and curved, slightly dynamic figures (especially 2, 3, and 9). In the text sample, the face creates a dense, editorial texture and favors larger sizes where its fine strokes and sharp serifs can remain distinct.
