A conventional serif design with crisp, bracketed serifs and a clear high-contrast stroke model. Curves are smoothly drawn with relatively narrow apertures and gently tapered joins, giving a tidy, controlled rhythm in text. Proportions skew toward a smaller x-height with comparatively tall ascenders and descenders, and the lowercase shows traditional, bookish forms (notably the two-storey a and g). Numerals appear oldstyle, with varied heights and alignments that blend naturally with running text.

Well-suited to book and editorial typography where a traditional serif voice and strong readability are desired. The oldstyle numerals make it especially appropriate for continuous text with frequent figure use, such as essays, academic publishing, and magazine features.

The font conveys a familiar, authoritative tone associated with printed literature and established editorial typography. Its contrast and sharp finishing details add a sense of refinement and formality without feeling decorative or eccentric.

The design appears intended as a dependable, conventional text serif that feels at home in print-like settings, emphasizing typographic tradition, a refined contrast profile, and steady reading rhythm over novelty.

Round letters like O and Q read as fairly vertical-axised with clean, restrained detailing; the Q uses a subtle, sweeping tail. The italic is not shown, and the roman maintains a consistent, even color despite the contrast, supporting comfortable long-form reading.
