This typeface is a high-contrast serif with sculpted, flared terminals that give strokes a chiselled, calligraphic finish. Thick verticals and hairline joins create a pronounced light–dark rhythm, while serifs read more like tapered wedges than flat brackets. Curves are taut and controlled, with narrow apertures and clean counters that keep the texture crisp in display sizes. The capitals feel stately and slightly condensed in presence, and the lowercase shows a traditional, editorial structure with distinctive, sharp shoulders and tapered endings; numerals carry the same steep contrast and refined detailing.

Best suited to headlines, large-size editorial typography, and premium branding where high contrast and sharp detailing can be appreciated. It works well for magazine covers, fashion/beauty layouts, cultural posters, and titling, and can serve as a distinctive text face when set with comfortable size and leading.

The overall tone is elegant and assertive, pairing classic bookish refinement with a fashion-forward edge. Its dramatic contrast and flared stroke endings feel premium and curated, lending a sense of ceremony and polish rather than casual neutrality.

The design appears intended to modernize a classic serif voice by amplifying contrast and using flared, tapering endings to create a sculptural, high-end texture. It prioritizes visual drama, refined finishing, and a strong typographic presence in display and editorial settings.

In continuous text the strong contrast produces a lively, shimmering pattern, and the sharp hairlines and tapered joins become a prominent part of the personality. Several forms emphasize pointed entry/exit strokes and crisp joins, which increases sophistication but can also make spacing and size choices more consequential for readability.
