A sturdy serif with bracketed, gently flared serifs and moderately modulated strokes. The letterforms are broadly proportioned with open counters and a calm, even rhythm, giving text a solid, planted texture. Terminals tend toward rounded or softly squared finishes rather than sharp points, and the capitals read strong and traditional with clear horizontal/vertical structure. Lowercase forms keep a straightforward, bookish construction with a conventional two-storey “a” and compact joins, while numerals are evenly weighted and designed to sit confidently alongside the text.

Well suited to continuous reading in books, essays, and editorial layouts where a classic serif texture is expected. It can also support institutional and professional documents—reports, brochures, and formal communications—where a traditional typographic tone is desirable.

The overall tone is traditional and authoritative, with a distinctly bookish, editorial feel. Its wide, steady forms communicate stability and familiarity, suggesting conventional print typography rather than a stylized display voice.

The design appears intended as a dependable, conventional text serif that prioritizes familiar forms, consistent rhythm, and comfortable readability in paragraphs, while remaining strong enough for headings in editorial contexts.

In paragraph settings the color is dense and consistent, with enough contrast and serif shaping to guide the eye without calling attention to details. The punctuation and ampersand match the same sturdy, classical construction, reinforcing a cohesive, conservative voice.
