This serif face shows gently modulated strokes with soft, bracketed serifs and subtly tapered terminals that suggest a broad-pen heritage. Curves are open and rounded, with a slightly uneven, lively rhythm across letters, giving the texture a human, hand-guided feel rather than a rigidly geometric one. Capitals are well-proportioned and classical, while the lowercase is compact with relatively short ascenders/descenders and a small x-height, producing a refined, slightly formal color in text. Numerals appear old-style with varied heights and flowing forms, matching the lowercase’s calligraphic movement.

Well-suited to long-form reading such as books, essays, and editorial layouts where a warm, traditional serif texture is desired. It also fits cultural and heritage-oriented branding, packaging copy, and refined headings where the old-style character and expressive italic can add voice without sacrificing clarity.

The overall tone feels literary and traditionally crafted—warm, approachable, and slightly antique. It conveys credibility and quiet elegance without becoming austere, with just enough irregularity in detail to feel personal and organic on the page.

The design appears aimed at delivering a classic, readable serif with visible calligraphic influence—prioritizing comfortable text color and a human cadence, while providing an italic that adds expressive emphasis for editorial and literary typography.

The italic (as shown in the sample) is distinctly calligraphic, with a noticeable slant and more expressive entry/exit strokes, offering clear contrast to the roman while staying cohesive. The roman’s serifs and terminals keep edges soft, avoiding harsh, mechanical sharpness and supporting a comfortable reading rhythm.
