A distressed, hand-rendered roman with uneven, deckled contours and a subtly blotchy fill that suggests dry ink or rough printing. Strokes are mostly monoline but fluctuate slightly, with irregular terminals and occasional ragged notches along stems and bowls. The uppercase has sturdy, simple construction and open counters, while the lowercase is compact with a relatively small x-height, giving text a slightly bouncy, irregular rhythm. Numerals match the same roughened edge treatment and maintain clear, readable silhouettes despite the texture.

Well suited to display uses where texture is an asset—posters, labels, packaging, chapter titles, and book or album covers. It can also work for short paragraphs in themed layouts (craft, heritage, folk, or Halloween-style atmospheres) when set large enough to keep the distressed edges from muddying readability.

The overall tone is rustic and tactile, like letterpress type pulled from a worn plate or brush-painted signage that has weathered over time. It reads as informal and characterful, with a lightly historical, storybook flavor rather than a clean, contemporary voice.

This design appears intended to deliver the warmth of hand-inked lettering with a controlled, repeatable texture, adding age and tactility while keeping familiar roman structures for legibility. The consistent roughening suggests a deliberate “worn print” effect aimed at expressive, themed typography rather than neutral body text.

Spacing appears intentionally a bit inconsistent, reinforcing the handmade feel; in longer passages the texture becomes the dominant feature, so the face benefits from generous size and breathing room. The roughness is consistent across the set, keeping the distress effect cohesive without collapsing letterforms.
