A conventional text serif with bracketed serifs and clear stroke modulation. The letters show a moderately compact, vertically oriented stance with gently tapered stems and softened joins that keep the texture even in paragraphs. Counters are open and largely oval, with a controlled, slightly calligraphic stress that reads well at text sizes. The lowercase has sturdy proportions and a balanced x-height, while capitals are stately and crisp with clean diagonals and smooth curves; numerals include oldstyle forms that blend naturally with running text.

Well suited to body text in books, magazines, and other editorial layouts where a stable rhythm and traditional serif detailing are desired. It also fits formal documents, reports, and academic material, and can handle headings when a classic, conservative voice is appropriate.

The overall tone is traditional and bookish, projecting a measured, authoritative voice. It feels comfortable and familiar—suited to serious reading—while the sharp serifs and contrast add a refined, slightly formal edge.

The design appears intended as a dependable, conventional serif for extended reading, emphasizing familiar proportions, balanced contrast, and a cohesive text texture. Oldstyle numerals and restrained detailing suggest a focus on continuous prose and typographically traditional settings.

Spacing appears steady and text color is consistent across mixed-case settings, supporting long-form readability. Details like the ear and terminals in the lowercase and the lively, descending oldstyle numerals add a subtle warmth without pushing into display stylization.
