A robust serif with pronounced contrast and strongly bracketed, wedge-like terminals that give the strokes a subtly carved, calligraphic feel. Curves are full and slightly asymmetric, with a gently “breathing” rhythm across the alphabet rather than rigid geometry. The serifs tend to flare and taper into the stems, and many joins show soft, ink-trap-like notches that keep counters open at heavier weights. Uppercase proportions are broad and confident, while the lowercase shows moderate ascenders/descenders and a compact, readable core.

Best suited for display typography such as headlines, editorial features, book covers, and identity work where a classic serif voice with visible personality is beneficial. It can work for shorter text passages when set with comfortable spacing, but its strong contrast and lively detailing make it most compelling at larger sizes.

The overall tone feels bookish and traditional, with a warm, slightly rustic energy that reads more human and handmade than strictly formal. It conveys authority without stiffness, evoking editorial and historical reference material rather than corporate minimalism.

The design appears intended to merge old-style warmth with a bolder, attention-holding presence, preserving calligraphic modulation and bracketed serifs while adding weight for impact. Its varied widths and expressive terminals suggest a focus on distinctive voice and readability in prominent settings.

Round letters (like O, C, G) show a strong thick–thin pattern and generous interior space, helping the face stay legible despite its heavy presence. Numerals are similarly weighty and stylized, with old-style flavor in their curvature and varying widths, making them well suited to display contexts where character is desired.
