An upright serif face with a condensed overall footprint and pronounced contrast between thick stems and hairline joins. Letterforms show flared, wedge-like serifs and a subtly calligraphic construction, with tapered terminals and occasional hooked finishes. Edges are intentionally irregular, with roughened contours and slight ink-blot variation that suggests worn printing or distressed tooling. Spacing is moderately tight and the rhythm is lively, with small irregularities that keep the texture organic while remaining clearly legible.

Best suited to display settings where its high-contrast strokes and roughened edges can be appreciated: posters, book covers, themed packaging, short pull quotes, and event or venue branding. It can also work for brief editorial headings or chapter openers, but extended small-size body copy may lose some of its distressed nuance.

The overall tone feels antique and tactile, like aged book type pulled from a well-used press. The distressing and sharp, tapered details add a hint of gothic folklore and handcrafted authenticity, making the font feel dramatic without becoming overtly horror-themed.

The design appears intended to evoke historical serif lettering while adding deliberate wear and irregularity for atmosphere. Its narrow proportions and sharp, flared details aim to deliver strong headline presence with a tactile, printed-on-paper feel rather than a pristine digital finish.

In text, the distressed perimeter is consistent enough to read comfortably at display sizes, while the thin hairlines and ragged details can begin to soften or break up as sizes get smaller. Numerals and capitals carry the most character through pointed wedges and uneven ink density, giving headlines a handmade, slightly unruly texture.
