A sturdy slab-serif design with firm, rectangular serifs and mostly flat terminals that give the letters a solid, built-up silhouette. Strokes stay fairly even throughout, with only subtle modulation, and the curves are broad and controlled, producing clear counters and steady rhythm. The lowercase shows a traditional, workmanlike construction with a two-storey “a” and “g,” short-to-moderate ascenders, and straightforward joins; capitals read stately and balanced, with generous interior space in round forms like C, O, and Q. Numerals follow the same robust logic, with clear shapes and stable alignment that feel suited to continuous reading.

Well suited to editorial typography, long-form reading, and print-forward layouts where a stable, classic slab-serif voice is desired. It also works effectively for headlines, institutional branding, and straightforward signage thanks to its strong terminals and clear letterforms.

The overall tone is authoritative and dependable, combining a traditional bookish feel with a no-nonsense, practical sturdiness. Its slab serifs add a quiet assertiveness that reads as established and credible rather than decorative.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional reading experience with added structural strength from slab serifs, balancing legibility and presence. It aims for a familiar, text-oriented texture while maintaining enough weight and firmness to carry display roles when needed.

Serif detailing remains consistent across the alphabet, keeping color even in paragraph settings while the squared serif treatment adds a crisp, printed character. The design holds up well at larger sizes where the strong terminals and open counters become especially noticeable.
