A conventional text serif with bracketed, wedge-like serifs and a gently calligraphic stroke modulation. Curves are round and open (notably in C, O, and the lower-case bowls), while terminals stay crisp and tapered, giving the letterforms a clean, lightly chiseled finish. Proportions are balanced with a steady rhythm in running text; the lowercase shows clear two-storey a and g, moderate ascenders/descenders, and compact joins that keep words cohesive. Numerals appear oldstyle (varying heights) and harmonize with the text color rather than standing rigidly on the cap line.

Well-suited to body copy in books, journals, essays, and other long-form editorial settings where a familiar serif voice is desired. It also works for headings and pull quotes when a traditional, authoritative tone is needed, and it should hold up well in print-centric layouts that favor a classic typographic palette.

The overall tone is bookish and established—quietly formal without feeling ornate. It suggests tradition and credibility, with a slightly human, pen-informed warmth that reads as cultured and editorial.

The font appears designed to deliver a dependable, classical reading experience: familiar skeletons, disciplined serifing, and a measured modulation that adds warmth while preserving clarity. The use of oldstyle numerals reinforces its alignment with continuous text and traditional editorial typography.

The design maintains a consistent, even texture in paragraphs, with open apertures and restrained contrast supporting comfortable long-form reading. Uppercase forms are dignified and slightly wide, while lowercase details (ear, tails, and entry/exit strokes) add subtle character without becoming decorative.
