A rough, ink-worn display serif with jagged, eroded contours and irregular interior counters that mimic distressed printing. Strokes are heavy but uneven, with abrupt nicks, small spikes, and blobby terminals that create a restless edge rhythm. The letterforms keep a mostly traditional serif skeleton—strong verticals, compact proportions, and clear caps—while the distressed texture breaks consistency and introduces organic variation from glyph to glyph. Spacing appears moderately tight, and the texture remains prominent even in smaller details like dots and short cross-strokes.

Best used for headlines and short phrases where the distressed texture can carry the message—such as horror or thriller titling, seasonal Halloween graphics, band or event posters, and gritty game or film key art. It can also add character to packaging or labels that aim for an aged, industrial, or underground aesthetic, but is less suitable for long-form text due to the strong surface noise.

The overall tone is dark and gritty, suggesting aged paper, worn ink, and a slightly menacing, theatrical mood. It reads as intentionally imperfect and handmade, evoking horror ephemera, underground flyers, and weathered signage rather than polished editorial typography.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic serif structure with a deliberately battered, ink-degraded finish, creating instant atmosphere and a tactile, printed feel. Its consistent roughening across letters and numbers suggests a focus on expressive display impact over typographic neutrality.

Capitals have a stout, poster-like presence, while the lowercase maintains legibility through familiar shapes despite the heavy abrasion. Numerals share the same distressed treatment and feel suited to short, emphatic settings where texture is a feature, not a flaw.
