A serif text face with slender, lightly weighted strokes and a noticeably roughened outline that mimics worn ink or degraded printing. Letterforms are upright with traditional proportions, bracket-like serif connections, and a slightly calligraphic, old-style structure. Stroke edges show consistent irregularities and small breaks, producing a textured rhythm while maintaining clear counters and legible shapes. Spacing and widths feel natural and varied, giving the set a mildly organic, hand-finished cadence in both uppercase and lowercase.

Works well where a classic serif voice needs added patina—book covers, editorial headlines, pull quotes, and posters with a historical or crafted feel. It can also support labels and packaging that benefit from an aged, authentic texture, especially when set at medium-to-large sizes where the distressed contours are more evident.

The overall tone is antique and tactile, evoking printed matter that’s been handled, aged, or pulled from a well-used press. It feels literary and archival rather than loud, adding atmosphere without fully sacrificing readability.

Designed to combine a traditional serif reading skeleton with a distressed surface, suggesting age, tactility, and imperfect printing. The intention appears to be adding character and atmosphere to otherwise conventional typography while keeping forms familiar enough for continuous reading in short passages.

Texture is carried across caps, lowercase, and numerals, so the distressed effect reads as a deliberate surface treatment rather than random damage. In paragraph samples the irregular edge detail becomes a soft grain, while at larger sizes the worn contours and slightly uneven terminals become a defining character.
