This serif typeface shows a calligraphic, old-style skeleton with noticeably bracketed serifs and a lively, hand-inked texture. Strokes display clear thick–thin modulation, with slightly irregular contours that feel like printed or pen-drawn edges rather than perfectly machined outlines. Counters are open and proportions are slightly varied across characters, giving the line a natural rhythm. Numerals and capitals maintain the same textured, slightly uneven finish, reinforcing a consistent “ink on paper” character across the set.

Well-suited to long-form editorial and book typography where a classic serif voice is desired, especially for literary fiction, essays, and historical themes. It also works effectively for cover titles, pull quotes, and branding that benefits from a traditional yet tactile feel. The textured finish can add character to packaging or identity work when paired with restrained layout and ample whitespace.

The overall tone is classic and bookish, with an antique, human warmth that reads as crafted rather than industrial. Its subtle roughness adds personality and a sense of heritage, suggesting traditional printing and editorial contexts. The texture brings a gentle drama that feels literary and slightly rustic without becoming overly decorative.

The design appears intended to blend familiar old-style readability with a deliberately organic, inked finish, offering a more human, printed impression than a pristine text serif. It aims to evoke tradition and craft while keeping letterforms straightforward enough for continuous reading.

The distinctive roughened stroke edges become more apparent at larger sizes, where the irregularities read as intentional texture. At text sizes, the letterforms remain recognizable and conventional in structure, while the surface detail adds a soft, weathered presence to paragraphs and headings.
