A classic serif with bracketed serifs, pronounced stroke contrast, and a steady, text-oriented rhythm. The capitals are stately and relatively wide, with crisp, tapered terminals and clean joins that keep counters open. Lowercase forms show an oldstyle influence with gently modulated curves, a two-storey a, a compact e with a defined aperture, and a g that reads as double-storey with a rounded lower bowl. Numerals are proportional-looking and align comfortably with the text color, maintaining the same contrast and serif treatment for consistent texture in paragraphs.

Well suited to extended reading in books and editorial layouts, where its contrast and bracketed serifs support a polished text color. It also works for magazine features, reports, and formal documents, and can serve as a dependable serif for headlines when set with comfortable tracking.

The overall tone feels traditional and literary, with a confident, print-centric voice. Its contrast and sharp serif details add a slightly formal, editorial character while still reading as familiar and approachable for long-form text.

Designed to provide a conventional, readable serif voice with refined contrast and traditional proportions, aiming for familiar, print-friendly typography that holds up in continuous text while still carrying an elevated editorial tone.

Round letters (C, O, Q) show smooth, controlled curvature with clear thick–thin transitions, and diagonals (V, W, X, Y) are crisp without becoming overly spiky. Spacing appears balanced for text, producing an even gray in the sample paragraph without looking rigid or mechanically uniform.
