A robust slab-serif with bracketed, blocky serifs and a firmly planted vertical stress. Strokes are heavy with noticeable contrast, and joins tend to be softened by generous bracketing that gives the face an ink-on-paper feel rather than a purely geometric build. Proportions lean slightly condensed in the capitals while the lowercase reads roomy and energetic, supported by a tall x-height and short ascenders/descenders. Counters are compact and the rhythm is dense, with round letters staying fairly upright and squared-off where they meet stems; several glyphs show small ball/teardrop terminals (notably in the lowercase) that add warmth to the otherwise sturdy construction. Numerals are bold and attention-grabbing with oldstyle-like quirks in the curves and terminals.

Best suited to headlines, pull quotes, and short blocks of text where weight and slab serifs can do the heavy lifting. It can also work well for book or magazine typography, sports/collegiate branding cues, packaging labels, and bold signage where a traditional yet lively serif voice is desired.

The overall tone is confident and traditional, with a dependable, newspaper-and-poster sensibility. It feels institutional and emphatic, but the rounded bracketing and occasional ball terminals keep it from becoming severe, adding a touch of vintage friendliness.

The font appears designed to deliver strong impact with a classic slab-serif backbone, balancing sturdy, rectangular serifs with subtle modulation and softened joins for better texture in real-world print-like settings.

The design’s strong slab presence and compact counters create high color on the page, especially in paragraph settings. Diagonals (such as V/W/X) are sharp and assertive, while curved forms (like S, a, g) show slightly calligraphic modulation that contributes to a classic, print-forward character.
