An italic serif with lively, calligraphy-led construction and pronounced thick–thin modulation. Strokes show a pen-like, slightly irregular edge and tapered terminals, with small wedge-like serifs and softly bracketed joins rather than mechanical slabs. Curves carry a diagonal stress, and counters are compact, giving the face a dark, textured rhythm in text. Proportions feel traditional and slightly variable from glyph to glyph, reinforcing an organic, hand-printed impression.

Well-suited to editorial typography, book or chapter openings, pull quotes, and historically flavored branding where a crafted italic voice is desired. It can also work for invitations and posters that benefit from a traditional, expressive serif with strong contrast.

The font conveys an old-world, literary tone with a touch of drama. Its inky contrast and restless stroke texture feel expressive and artisanal, suggesting historical printing, manuscript influence, and crafted editorial voice rather than sleek modern neutrality.

The design appears intended to translate broad-nib or pointed-pen movement into a readable italic text serif, preserving a sense of hand pressure, angled stress, and tapered finishing. Its goal seems to be creating a warm, period-leaning texture that feels printed and human rather than precisely engineered.

In the sample text, the face builds a strong typographic color at moderate sizes, with noticeable sparkle from the contrast and frequent sharp tapers. The italic angle and irregularity add character but also make the texture more active, which can become visually busy in dense settings.
