A polished serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and sharply defined, bracketed serifs. The curves are smooth and full, with slightly tapered joins and a steady vertical stress that keeps the rhythm even in text. Capitals feel stately and well-proportioned, while lowercase forms are compact with clear counters and sturdy stems; terminals often finish in subtle teardrops or ball-like ends (notably in letters like a, f, j, and y). Numerals follow the same high-contrast logic, mixing straight, confident strokes with rounded bowls and small finishing details.

Well-suited to editorial typography such as magazines, essays, and book interiors, as well as for chapter titles and pull quotes where contrast and elegance add hierarchy. It also works effectively for branding systems that need a classic serif voice, and for formal printed materials like programs and invitations.

The overall tone is traditional and bookish, projecting credibility and a quiet sense of luxury. Its sharp contrast and sculpted serifs create a formal voice suited to established institutions and editorial settings rather than casual or utilitarian UI typography.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, highly legible serif with elevated contrast and carefully finished details, balancing classical proportions with enough sharpness to read as contemporary in polished layouts.

In the sample text, the weight and contrast hold up well at display sizes, producing crisp word shapes and strong headline presence. The italic-like liveliness comes from the shaped terminals and slightly calligraphic details rather than any slant, giving the face a refined, print-oriented character.
