A dense, heavy slab serif with squared, block-like construction and strongly capped terminals. The serifs are wide and blunt with subtle bracketing, and many joins show small interior notches that read like mild ink-traps. Curves are rounded but tightened, keeping counters compact (especially in B, 8, and e), while the overall rhythm stays sturdy and even. Spacing appears intentionally tight for impact, and the lowercase maintains a firm, upright stance with simple, robust forms.

Best suited for display applications where strong contrast against the page and a solid silhouette are priorities—headlines, posters, signage, packaging, team/club marks, and bold editorial callouts. It can work in short bursts of text at larger sizes, but its tight counters and dense weight suggest using generous size and spacing when setting longer lines.

The face projects a confident, no-nonsense tone with a vintage American flavor—part wood-type poster, part varsity and workwear lettering. Its weight and squared slabs give it a loud, declarative presence suited to bold statements rather than quiet reading.

The design appears intended to deliver maximum impact with a traditional slab-serif vocabulary, echoing wood type and collegiate signage while adding practical details (like notched joins) that keep forms from clogging when printed large and dark.

Numerals follow the same compact, poster-like logic, with thick joins and minimal delicacy, helping mixed text feel consistent. The distinctive interior notches and flattened terminals add texture at display sizes and reinforce the rugged, stamped/printed impression.
