A high-contrast serif with strongly flared stroke endings and a crisp, upright stance. Thick verticals pair with hairline horizontals and thin connecting strokes, creating a distinctly chiseled rhythm. Serifs are tapered and often bracketed, with wedge-like terminals and occasional sharp beak forms; curves show taut tension and pointed transitions, especially in letters like S, a, and s. Counters are relatively compact for the weight, and the overall silhouette reads dense and sculptural, with lively modulation across strokes and joins.

Best used at display sizes where the hairlines and sharp terminals can remain clear and intentional. It works especially well for headlines, book and magazine typography, cultural posters, and premium branding that benefits from a dramatic, engraved-like serif voice. For longer passages, it will read most comfortably when given generous size and spacing.

The font projects a confident, old-world authority with a theatrical edge. Its pronounced contrast and flared detailing give it a ceremonial, literary tone that feels suited to tradition and prestige, while the sharp terminals add a slightly barbed, expressive bite.

The design appears intended to deliver a bold, high-drama serif voice rooted in classical forms, using flared terminals and strong modulation to evoke a carved, monumental impression. It prioritizes impact and sophistication over neutrality, aiming for memorable presence in titles and statement typography.

In text, the strong thick–thin pattern creates a striking color on the page and emphasizes vertical rhythm. The numerals and uppercase carry the most monument-like presence, while the lowercase maintains the same carved sensibility through tapered terminals and tightened apertures.
