A high-contrast serif with crisp, bracketed serifs and pronounced thick–thin modulation. Stems are sturdy and mostly vertical, while hairlines taper to fine points in terminals and cross-strokes, creating a bright, elegant rhythm. Uppercase forms feel stately and slightly narrow in their inner counters, with sharp apexes (notably in A, V, W) and cleanly cut serifs. The lowercase shows a traditional, text-oriented build with compact bowls, a two-storey a, a double-storey g, and a slightly calligraphic snap in curves and joins that keeps the texture lively at display sizes.

Well suited to editorial typography such as magazine headlines, pull quotes, and section openers, as well as book jackets and cultured branding where a classic serif presence is desired. It can also work for invitations and prestige packaging, especially when printed well and set at moderate-to-large sizes.

The overall tone is classic and editorial, with a refined, high-fashion crispness. Its strong contrast and precise finishing convey authority and sophistication, lending a slightly dramatic, premium feel rather than a casual or utilitarian voice.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, literary serif voice with elevated contrast for sharper visual impact. It balances traditional proportions with finely drawn hairlines and confident serifs to create an upscale text-and-display workhorse for editorial settings.

The numerals and capitals read with clear hierarchy thanks to the strong vertical emphasis and hairline detailing. In longer lines, the contrast and fine serifs produce a bright, sparkling page color that favors good size and comfortable spacing to avoid fragility in small or low-resolution settings.
